Q1
* What are the differences between the trial version and the full version of Foxreal Blu-ray Ripper for Mac?
A: Actually the trial version and the full version have the same functions. And the only difference is that the company logo Foxreal will appear in the middle of the ripped or edited Blu-ray or DVD files if you are using Foxreal Blu-ray Ripper for Mac's trial version. To get rid of the logo watermark, please purchase Foxreal Blu-ray Ripper's full version.

Q2
* After inserting Blu-ray disc into my Mac's hard drive, there is no response of your software. What's the matter?
A: In fact, the computer's own drive can not read Blu-ray discs. If you want to load Blu-ray files from your Blu-ray disc on your Mac OS X, an external Blu-ray drive is needed. After connecting this kind of Blu-ray drive with your computer, you can insert your Blu-ray disc into the Blu-ray drive and load Blu-ray files into the program for conversion.

Q3
* I have purchased the Blu-ray ripping software, but there is no place to enter the key code.
A: Please first uninstall the trial version of the software from your Mac and click the download link after signing in the page:

Or, you can directly contact us to get the full version download link via the email address: support@foxreal.com.

Q5

* What are the differences between the Full Disc Copy and Directly Copy on your program?
A:The Full Disc Copy function allows you to make a full copy (1:1) of your Blu-ray or DVD discs with its original structures on your Mac while the Directly Copy mainly helps you backup or copy the major content of Blu-ray or DVD files to the Mac. And only in the File Mode, you are able to directly copy your Blu-ray or DVD files with the Blu-ray copy software.

Q6

* I want to extract HD audio file like DTS MA, Dolby True HD Dolby and others from Blu-ray files. Is it possible?
A:Currently the Blu-ray Ripper can read all audio tracks of BD disc, including Dolby True HD audio, DTS-HD Master Audio, which allows you to select the desired audio track in the source BD file for your reference. So, you are able to rip TrueHD, DTS-HD to AAC, AC3 5.1 channels, etc. But the program can't generate TrueHD and DTS-HD audio file.

Q7
* I exported my Blu-ray movie to Apple ProRes 422 with your program. But there is no video but audio when playing.
A :Actually encoding into ProRes is limited to the Mac OS having certain software(s) installed.
This includes one of the following:
*Final Cut Pro
*Final Cut Server
*Logic Pro
*Compressor
These applications install the proper ProRes component, which is need for ProRes encoding. So, you can't transcode video to ProRes without installing one of the four apps.

Q8
* I have Avid Media Composer but the version 5.0 and want to edit Blu-ray in Avid. But I don't know how?
A: Just rip and transcode your Blu-ray files to Avid DNxHD (*.mov) format for easier editing in Avid due to its reduced storage and bandwidth requirements with mastering quality HD media. Click on "Format" and choose "QuickTime Movie Format < Avid DNxHD (*.mov)" to find the file.

Q9
* Can I rip my DVD movies for playing on my iPad, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4, iPod Nano, Apple TV with the DVD’s original quality?
A: Can I transfer the software I bought to my new Mac machine?
A: Yes. You just need to remove the software from your old machine and then install it on your new machine. Please remember that the software can't work on two or more computers at the same time.

Q11
* Why is the output file so big and why does it take so much time for the conversion?
A: Actually it has something to do with several factors: source file types, the output profile settings and the computer environment, etc. Generally the higher bitrate and frame rate, the higher quality but the larger file size and the longer it will take. Q14

* How to find main movie?
A: Below are two ways to help you find DVD main movie:
1) Just choose the longest duration file (1~2 hours) in the file area to get the main movie file (subchapters included). Or, you can choose "Uncheck All" and then choose "Check Subchapters" after right-click the long duration file to get the main movie files only in subchapters.
2) If there is no video file with 1~2 hours length in the file area, you only could see some video clips with similar video length. No worry. The DVD ripping software actually has already selected the main movie files (those checked ones) by default in the file area. Meanwhile, you could right-click the seleced file to view/hide subchapters as you wish. For more information:
