It is also a wonderful video editor to edit HD/SD videos. There's the TV and digital video recorder in your family room. You have a PC and a tablet running Android such as Asus Eee Pad Transformer, along with a network attached storage device(NAS). Then it takes only two steps to listen to music or watch movies on your TV/PC/tablet: 1. Transfer the recorded or other media to the NAS; 2. Select your media file that is automatically detected by your digital media player(DMP) for playback, as long as they are all DLNA-certified devices.
The NAS here is described as a digital media server(DMS). It streams media files to DMP, either wired or wirelessly. As for PC or tablets, they can be both DMS and DMP -- if all required apps are installed. In addition, you may use your PC or Eee Pad Transformer to remote control your TV to play movies on the NAS, if they are all properly connected to each other via local network and have the third-party DLNA apps set correctly. Currently all personal computers running Windows, Linux or Mac OS X are able to be turned a DMS or DMP as there are programs for all the three platform, while tablets running Android only are available for such app. (Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Asus Eee Pad Transformer, etc.)

The DLNA has a protocol for certified devices on required and optional media formats support to achieve a baseline for network interoperability, including image, audio and video with audio (AV). DLNA requirements on media format support apply to media content that passes over the home network from a DMS or M-DMS device to a DMP or M-DMP device. Table 1 and Table 2 show the current set of required formats and optional formats as defined in the DLNA guidelines. The network interoperability model for media formats is as follows:
