When we watch videos on YouTube, we may sometimes want to attach subtitles to the video in your own language. Using Foxreal Youtube FLV Downloader Pro and VisualSubSync for the task is as easy as you can imagine.
Open YouTube Downloader and navigate to the video page you plan to grab. The downloader will automatically smell the media source link and allow you to download the entire online video to local storage. Meanwhile, check the Convert enables the function to convert the FLV video to other popular video format you like. For custom subtitle attach, we recommend *.avi format in Common Video so that it could be imported to VisualSubSync.
Once the conversion ends, open VisualSubSync and create a new project by pressing Ctrl+N. Locate your converted AVI video and extract the WAV file for later usage. You may get a spectrum as following:
Drag and select the sound clips, then paste or type the subtitles to attach the timeline. After finished, save the project and the subtitles will be stored in *.srt or *.ass, whatever you prefer.
Re-upload the video to YouTube. Find the video in My Videos which you'd like to add subtitles and click the down arrow located to the right of the Edit and Insight buttons. Select the Captions and Subtitles button from the drop down menu. Click the Add New Captions or Transcript button and upload your prepared SRT or ASS file. Remember to select Caption file and the appropriate language on the right side.
