It is impressive for its native support of importing videos directly from camera or other popular devices such as iPod, iPhone or Nintendo Wii. With the new version you can even import videos that you recorded with your iPhone directly into Movie Edit Pro, without having to take a detour via iTunes. Also, Magix Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus originally allows AVCHD material importing without recalculation and Blu-ray Disc burning with animated menus.

MPEG-4, MPEG-2, and Dolby Digital must first be activated online for free.
However, FLV and M4V are not included in the list above. It means you cannot directly edit downloaded online video or iTunes Podcast in Magix. We recommend Foxreal Video Converter to make the two formats available.
It takes three steps to convert downloaded video using Video Converter.
Step 1: Open the video conversion program and import the source video by clicking the Add Video icon on top-left corner of the interface.
Step 2: Click Settings button and select a profile of any format listed above. We recommend MPEG-4 format with the extension of MP4 or AVI for less quality loss.
Step 3: Choose the output directory and click Convert.
After the conversion finished, add the converted file to Magix and start creating your own movie as clips.
By the way, if you want to import Blu-ray or DVD movies to Magix for editing, try Blu-ray Ripper with a similar procedure.
