“I'm trying to backup my copy of The Campaign to WMV like I've done to my entire collection but I'm not getting any sound from the file once I try and stream it to my XBOX via extender or can I hear sound when I just try and play the file on my PC. Nothing has changed on my side so I'm not sure why Pavtube is not bringing the sound with it. Can you please help?”
If you're trying to play WMV10/WMAPro files, and your receiver show as Dolby Digital decoding, the audio will not come through. It seems that the recent upgrade (Windows 8) has brought in some issues with H.264 video having AC3 audio on the extender, so it’s best to get HD video source into WMV10/WMAPro and make sure your Xbox is set to “WMA Pro 5.1” sound in your “System Settings > Audio”. In that case you can get 5.1 sounds via Xbox 360 extender. Below is a guide for ripping The Campaign Blu-ray to WMV HD with WMAPro 5.1 audio.
The Pavtube Blu-Ray Ripper v4.2 now cracks and converts Blu-ray and DVD movies for Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 Slim on the go. It has been updated with presets for Xbox 360 in the latest version. These presets cover WMV of 640*480, 1280*720 and 1920*1080 full HD. The presets are featured with flexible video and audio parameters like codec, bit rate, frame rate, sampling rate, and audio channels. The software allows users to decide which codec (wmv1, wmv2, wmv3, vc-1, wmav1, wmav2, wmav3) to use and adjust bit rate up to get higher quality videos. 5.1 surround sounds can be attained as well. Owners of the new model Xbox 360 Slim can easily stream generated WMV HD videos to the 250GB Xbox 360 Slim over built-in Wi-Fi 802.11N.
Step 1: Run Pavtube Blu-ray to Xbox 360 Converter, and load The Campaign Blu-ray to it. You can click “BD/DVD ROM” or “BD/DVD Folder” to load Blu-ray movie files into the app.
Step 2: Select the main movie from file list. Set desired audio and subtitles language.
Step 3: Select WMV10/WMAPro HD output format. Click on the drop-down list at the opposite side of “Format”, and then choose “Zune/Xbox 360 device” > “Xbox 360 HD Video (*.wmv)”. The format generates 720p WMV video with WMAPro 5.1 surround sound for Xbox 360 to playback.
If you prefer 1080p Full HD quality, press “Settings” and set video size to “1920x1080”, and set bitrate up.
Step 4: Start ripping Blu-ray/DVD to Xbox 360 supported WMV. Click “Convert” button to rip Blu-ray to Xbox 360.
Once the ripping task is finished, you can click “Open” button at the bottom of the main interface to get the output WMV files for streaming Blu-ray movie to Xbox 360. If you’re not familiar with Xbox video streaming, click to see how to setup Xbox 360 as Media Center Extender.
