Now more and more digital devices support DLNA connection. But only few people are good at the DLNA connecting. The tutorial will mainly help you know the DLNA and share Blu-ray/DVD and HD videos on two popular DLNA compatible devices: PS3 and Droid X.
DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) is a standard that support digital devices like digital video recorders, personal computers and TVs to be connected on a network and to share media data that is on other connected, DLNA compatible devices.
Generally, DLNA supported devices take two different roles. DLNA servers stream or distribute media content (image, music or video files), and DLNA clients mainly receive and play the media streamed from DLNA servers. Some DLNA devices perform both roles such as Droid X, but the PlayStation 3 system only serve as a client. Using the PS3 DLNA, you could display photos, play movie and music files stored on those DLNA server devices over a network.
