The step-by-step guide on how to stream videos to PS3 via PMS:
First, let’s view Java PS3 Media Server. PMS is a DLNA compliant UPnP Media Server, witten in Java, which can help you play, trancode and stream media content to the PlayStation 3. The software supports many video, image and sound files. However, it can’t support Blu-ray discs even if the PS3 can directly play M2TS files. So you need to remove copy protection from your BDs if you want to stream and enjoy Blu-ray M2TS files on PS3 via PS3 Media Server.
Part 1: Get rid of copy protections from BD/DVD disc to the hard drive of your computer.
Insert your BD into your BD ROM once the BD ROM is connected with your compouter. Run Foxreal BD Ripper to rip your Blu-ray disc to the hard drive of your PC. It is easy! Or, you can get the instructures on how to remove copy protection and backup Blu-ray discs here.

After getting the ripped or converted PS3 playable files, you can stream M2TS files or other PS3 videos to your PS3 via PMS easily and quickly as below:
Step 1: Make sure your PS3 is connected through a network that can access your PC.
Step 2: Run the PS3 Media Server software. (Note: If you haven’t installed it, you can download ps3mediaserver here.) Generally, when the program is launched, it will establish a connection to the PS3 automatically. And there will be an icon on your PS3 for the Java PMS.
Step 3: Choose movie or music files you want to play on your PS3 system by clicking the PMS icon.
