HD Video Converter for Mac
Compress HD to SD in perfect video/audio synchronization. Convert MXF, TS, MTS, M2TS, TOD, MOD, EVO, QT, etc to ProRres, Apple Intermediate Codec, Avid DNxHD, QuickTime MOV, HD MP4, iPad, iPhone 4, Apple TV, Xbox 360, etc.Final Cut Pro X is the latest version of one of the most popular movie editing program around the world. It is favored by movie producers, either amateur or professional. As a program on the platform of Mac OS X, FCPX is perfectly compatible with OS X Lion and enhanced by the convenience of the OS from Apple itself. There are only one flaw that troubles the editors: camcorder videos are usually stored in formats that are not originally supported by FCPX, such as MXF, MTS, M2TS, etc. Some of those camcorders can be directly imported to FCPX by frame scanning and converted to Apple ProRes for editing, but many other camcorders are not supported.
For camcorders that supported by Final Cut Pro X, they will be automatically detected once you plug them in your Mac while FCPX is on. They are listed in "Import from camera" archive for preview and conversion. You can refer to this page http://help.apple.com/finalcutpro/cameras/en/index.html? to find out whether your camcorder is supported. For example, Canon VIXIA HF G10 and Panasonic HDC-TM90 are both in the list. Simple select the demanded video clips and import to FCP X events.
If your camcorder is unfortunately not listed in the reference page, you will be unable to directly import your AVCHD movies. To edit your recorded movie in Final Cut Pro X, you may have to paste them to HDD from camera’s internal storage or SD card. Then, manually convert the MXF or M2TS file to Apple ProRes MOV or MP4.
We recommend Foxreal HD video converter for the task. Here is a step-by-step guide.
1. Install and open HD video converter, add the source video file by clicking the icon on top left corner of the interface.

3. Choose output directory and click "Convert".
4. Once finished, drag and import the converted video file to FCP X event.
