Blockbuster videos .
Blockbutter On Demand is a service allowing you to purchase or rent and download video assets from the Droid X phone. After purchase or rental, you can play the video content back on your Droid X or on PCs or TVs connected to a TiVo DVR, a Blu-ray player or 2Wire media platform.
Once an upgrade procedure of the app is completed, you will be prompted to activate the Blockbuster device by signing up (if you have no Blockbuster account) or signing in (if you already have a Blockbuster account). After adding in their credit information for your payment option, you are able to browse a vast array of Blockbuster video assets for purchase or rent. This service hasn’t monthly fee.
Media Share.
Media Share provides an easy and fast solution to share your media content – photos, videos and tunes – with friends and family.
If you want to use the Media Share to enjoy photos, videos and music, you must be connected to a network or another device:
Then, Media Share will lead you the rest of the way.
Note: If you want to use a Wi-Fi connection, you need allow access to other devices to download media from your phone and to share your videos or movies. If you hope to access media files on your computer, phone, network drive, video game console or television, you must allow access.
How to use Media Share?
Touch the launcher icon
- > Media Share and then select the Media Share feature you plan to use.
DLNA.
DLNA makes it possible to expand the ways you are able to enjoy photos, videos and music on a DLNA Certified HDTV or monitor by using your own Wi-Fi network.
Note: Before streaming videos/movies to your DLNA certified devices, please ensure that your Droid X is connected to an active Wi-Fi network and has access to the DLNA certified device.

1) Touch Launcher icon
- > DLNA.
2) Touch Play media, Copy media to server, copy media to phone or Share media.
3) Follow the instructions you see on the Droid X.
HDMI.
Note: By using HDMI, you can’t view commercial media content – photos or videos purchased and downloaded but only user-generated content – your own pictures and recorded videos.
How to use HDMI?
1) Press Menu
- > Settings - > HDMI to select an HDMI format.
2) Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI port on the Droid X to an HDMI port on the TV monitor.
3) Touch Launcher icon
- > Home Sync Wizard - > Start - > Television - > Play.
Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi helps you use a wireless network for fast Internet access and to download data.
How to search & connect Wi-Fi?
1) Press
- > Settings - > Wireless & networks - > Wi-Fi setttings.
2) Touch Wi-Fi to turn or scan. After Wi-Fi is already on, you can press Menu
- > Scan. And then the Droid X will lists the networks it finds within range. If you want to see the Droid X’s Mac address or other Wi-Fi details, just press Menu
- > Advanced.
3) Touch a network to connect. If necessary, you need to enter Network SSID, Security and Wireless password and then touch Connect. Once the Droid X is connected to the network, the wireless indicator appears in the status bar.
Generally, you will automatically reconnect to available networks you’ve connected to before when you are in range and Wi-Fi is on.
Wi-Fi hotspot.
To set up your Droid X as a Wi-Fi hospot to provide portable, convenient internet access to other Wi-Fi enabled devices is available. Since risks may be associated with connecting to the public internet, it is highly recommended to protect your Wi-Fi enabled devices from unauthorized access.
How to modify the settings to add encryption to your Wi-Fi hotspot?

- > 3G Mobile Hotspot - >
- > Advanced - > WiFi AP mode Settings.
SSID – Enter a unique name for your hotspot and touch Next.
Security – Choose the type of security you like, and touch Save: WEP, WPA or WPA2. Enter a unique password. Only if other users enter the correct password, they can access your Wi-Fi hotspot.
Please note that WEP is the weakest option because it is highly vulnerable to hacking. Therefore, WPA2 is recommended by IEEE.
Channel – Select a channel to minimize potential interface. Once your hotspot is active for a time you may need to try different channels.
How to activate hotspot?

- > 3G Mobile Hotspot - > Tap to start Mobile Hotspot service.
Once the Wi-Fi hotspot of the Droid X is active, other Wi-Fi enabled devices can connect only if you enter your hotspot’s SSID, select a security type and enter the correct Wireless password.
